RPL players on international duty: Bijol scores debut goal for Slovenia, Volkov first game for Belarus since 2019

Five RPL players featured for their national teams.

Croatia 1-1 Slovenia

CSKA midfielder Jaka Bijol delivered a penthouse performance after playing the entire match against Croatia. The 23-year-old scored his first goal for Slovenia, an equalizer in second-half added time to help his team draw. Croatia's Zenit defender Dejan Lovren was not included in the matchday squad. The player missed the last RPL games due to injury. On 29 March, both teams will play friendly matches: Croatia will face Bulgaria, and Slovenia take on Qatar.

Finland 1-1 Iceland

CSKA's Hordur Magnusson started for Iceland against Finland and was replaced immediately after the break with the score 1-1. In the next match, Iceland will play Spain on 29 March.

Belarus 3-0 India

Khimki's Belarusian defender Zakhar Volkov played the whole match against India in his first game for the national team since 2019. Belarus will play Bahrain in their next match on 29 March.

Qatar 2-1 Bulgaria

Arsenal midfielder Georgi Kostadinov was named in Bulgaria's starting line-up against Qatar and was substituted in the 82nd minute. On 29 March, Bulgaria will face Croatia in a friendly.

Uzbekistan U-23 0-0 UAE U-23

Nizhny Novgorod defender Ibrohimkhalil Yuldoshev played the full 90 minutes against UAE at the Dubai Cup tournament. On 29 March, Uzbekistan will play Thailand in the final match of the tournament.
