While Zenit are unbeaten in RPL, their Cup results differ, as they were defeated by Krylia and Spartak on away. Sergey Semak host team from Samara with main squad entering the field and including former Krylia Ivan Sergeev. The striker opened the score sending the ball to the empty net after Claudinho assist, and he scored another one in a minute after the half-time getting the ball from Wendel’s header. Krylia answered with a goal made by the reserve, Sergey Pinyaev found Aleksandar Cirkovic’s head, and the Serbian scored in the Cup for the second time. His second chance in the added time could tied the game but Mikhail Kerzhakov saved the ball from the corner.

Zenit and Krylia are tied on points, but Samara stay above with best goal difference in the head-to-head.
