Russian Cup play-offs
RPL Path Semi-finals, 1st leg
Krylia Sovetov Samara 2-2 CSKA Moscow
Wednesday 15 March, Solidarnost Samara Arena

Goals: Krylia – Pisarsky (49), Tsypchenko (64); CSKA – Medina (46), Chalov (pen 72)

Three days after CSKA beat Krylia with four goals, teams met in Samara to start the Cup two-leg battle. There was goalless first half, but Jesus Medina kicked the second part with goal, when he intercepted Dmitry Tsypchenko’s pass to Ivan Lomaev and scored to the empty net. Vladimir Sychevoy (Pisarsky) had a quick answer at corner kick, now he has a goal in each of three Cup appearances for Krylia and six in total, which made him a new leader of scorers list.

Tsypchenko corrected his mistake and marked in scoresheet with header, but CSKA made tied in few minutes. Tsypchenko caused a penalty with handball, and Fedor Chalov converted the shot. There was another unlucky guy in Krylia, Glenn Bijl overhead kick was cancelled, when VAR check noted offside, and later his free kick hit the crossbar and only touched the goal line, but did not cross it.

Second leg will be played at VEB Arena in Moscow between 4 and 6 April. The winners will enter RPL Path finals, while eliminated team will move to Regions Path semi-finals.
