On Yaroslav Mikhaylov participation in Pari NN vs Torpedo match

print version

Russian Premier Liga made a statement on the situation in Matchday 20 fixture between Pari NN and Torpedo Moscow

Yaroslav Mikhaylov, Pari NN midfielder, started this season in Zenit St. Petersburg and joined Nizhny Novgorod on loan in September. Before leaving Zenit, he had already played for first team in RPL and second team in the Second League, and he earned two yellow cards for Zenit-2. In previous matches for Pari NN in RPL Mikhaylov also got two yellow cards, so he was illegible to play against Torpedo due to four cards suspension.

The electronic system of managing competition does not count the yellow cards received in other leagues automatically, and it can’t block the player’s participation, as it happens usually.

According to paragraph 5.9.2 of RPL Regulations, clubs are responsible for noting the information on disciplinary sanctions in the system. By the way, Pari NN administration did not inform RPL about yellow cards received by Mikhaylov in the Second League.

If Torpedo Moscow make a protest, the incident may be considered by Control-Disciplinary Committee of Russian Football Union.
