2023 AFC Asian Cup

Group C
Hong Kong 0-1 Iran

Rostov midfielder Mohammad Mohebi again entered the field as substitute, now he came for the last 25 minutes of second half. The Iranians captured win through Mehdi Gayedi goal on 24th minute, being assisted by former Akhmat player Milad Mohammadi. Iran took six points in two matches and clinched Round of 16 with one match left in the group stage. On 23 January, Team Melli will face UAE, who go second with four points.

Group B
Cape Verde 3-0 Mozambique

Krasnodar midfielder Kevin Lenini spent another full match and scored third Cape Verde goal with long shot on 69th minute. The Bulls player got second goal for the national team. Cape Verde not only reached playoffs with two wins in two matches, but also captured first place in the group, where Egypt and Ghana also play. In the last match of the group stage Cape Verde will play against Egypt on 22 January.

Group C
Senegal 3-1 Cameroon

Dynamo Moscow forward Nicolas Moumi Ngamaleu played first match at the tournament. After not entering the pitch against Guinea, he made the starting 11 against reigning Africa Cup champions, but was substituted after 74 minutes, when Cameroon was trailing 0-2. The Indomitable Lions come to the final match of the group stage with one point, and their remaining opponents are Gambia. The match is scheduled on 23 January.

Whom to follow on 20 January

At Africa Cup of Nations team Burkina Faso with Akhmat striker Mohamed Konate will play second match in the group. After beating Mauritania 1-0 through late penalty goal they will face Algeria.

In Venezuela the CONMEBOL Olympic Qualification Tournament will start among U-23 national teams, and the opening match will include Ecuador and Colombia. The Ecuadorians have Orenburg forward Justin Cuero in the roster.
