RPL champions, Russian Cup winners Zenit St. Petersburg captured 2024 Super Cup beating last season RPL silver medalists FC Krasnodar.

Top two teams of 2023/24 season faced each other in Volgograd at 2018 World Cup arena. Zenit scored three unanswered goals in the first half, the scorers were Rodrigao, Wendel and new signing Maksim Glushenkov. After half-time Glushenkov added another goal, while Krasnodar answered came close through goals by Nikita Krivtsov and all-time club scorer Fedor Smolov, came back from Dynamo. Wendel was the most involved player getting one goal and two assists in the clash.

Zenit kept being the most titled team in Super Cup history winning ninth trophy overall and fifth straight. Krasnodar participated in the competition first time.

Zenit will start new RPL title defense playing against Krylia Sovetov in Samara on 20 July, while Krasnodar will face Akhmat in Grozny next day.
